In order to support, promote and ensure the advancement of Igbere people and development of the Igbere community, an inaugural meeting of the Igbere Development Association was held on March 26, 2017.
This epoch making meeting was attended by distinguished Igbere families as represented by the following:
(1). Esse Esse (Califonia) – Ibinaukwu;
(2). Ukaegbu Ukaegbu (Maryland) – Amakpo;
(3). Daniel Onyike (California) – Amaukwu;
(4). Peter A. Imaa (California) – Ibinanta;
(5). Anyaogu Elekwachi (Maryland) – Ibinaukwu;
(6). Daniel Eke (Maryland) – Amaukwu;
(7). Emeka Uche (Texas) – Amankalu;
(8). Arisa Ekeoma (California) – Amankalu;
(9). George Chike (Louisiana) – Eziama;
(10). Dickson I Samuel (Texas) – Amakpo;
(11). Emeka Ejieke (Georgia) – Amankalu
(12). Ojukwu Nwachukwu (South Carolina) – Ibinaukwu;
(13). Fidelis Onwubueke (Massachusetts) – Amakpo;
(14). Chidi Ogbonnaya (Texas) – Ibinaukwu.
Other families who send their regrets because of inability to attend the inaugural meeting include:

However, during the meeting, the house realized the need to support, promote and ensure the advancement of Igbere people and development of the Igbere community. As a result, the house resolved to form an organization to be known as addressed as the “Igbere Development Association, Inc.” (aka IDA Ebiri).
Since its inception, many other Igbere families have joined the association following their believe and acceptance of the objectives of the IDA.
